Job Overview

Mozilla Corporation is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the redesign of its Identity and Access Management (IAM) system. This role will focus on enhancing scalability, security, and user experience while establishing IAM as a platform offering within the infrastructure organization. The Staff Engineer will guide technical decision-making, promote engineering best practices, and facilitate collaboration across teams to ensure cohesive platform delivery.

Technical Requirements

Required Skills
  • • 10+ years experience in software engineering
  • • 5+ years expertise in IAM / IdP
  • • Proficient in Python
  • • Proficient in JavaScript
  • • Expertise in AuthN, AuthZ, and access governance
Preferred Skills
  • • Experience with distributed systems architecture
  • • Knowledge of cloud security principles
  • • Open source software involvement
Experience Level

Senior to Staff level, requiring extensive experience and leadership capabilities
