dbt Labs is seeking an experienced Staff Customer Resident Architect to drive critical customer outcomes by delivering high-impact technical guidance to strategic accounts. This role involves supporting pre-sales, accelerating adoption, enabling key migrations, and mitigating churn risks, while collaborating closely with various teams to improve customer experience and drive growth.

5+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles such as post-sales consulting, technical architecture, or solution delivery
Responsibilities
- • Support strategic pre-sales opportunities by providing technical expertise to prospects
- • Assist in launching and onboarding new customers to successfully adopt dbt Cloud
- • Execute proactive adoption plays, including migrations and new feature implementations
- • Lead reactive adoption initiatives to mitigate churn risks
- • Advise on architecture, design, implementation, and best practices in dbt Cloud environments
- • Build solution MVPs and guide long-term technical strategies tailored to customer needs
- • Collaborate with Customer Solutions Architects, Sales, Solutions Architects, Training, and Support
- • Provide feedback to Product and Engineering to improve customer experience
- • Track and manage capacity and engagement effectiveness
